Over the weekend, SCORE International off-road racing unveiled its 2015 World Desert Championship schedule. The series celebrating its 42nd year in existence in 2015, will hold five of the largest off-road events in 2015 that will feature 25 pro and five sportsman classes for cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles, and ATVs.
The series, which as always is rich in history, will kick off with the 29th annual SCORE San Felipe 250 before holding the inaugural SCORE Baja Sur 500. This event will mark the first time a SCORE Baja race has been held entirely in Baja California Sur. The series then moves on to the 47th annual Score Baja 500 and the 3rd annual Score Imperial Valley 250 before closing out the championship at the world-famous Baja 1000 in November.
2015 Schedule
Jan 22-25: Round 1 – 29th SCORE San Felipe 250, in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico.
Apr16-19: Round 2 – Inaugural SCORE Baja Sur 500 on April 16-19. Baja California.
Jun 4-7: Round 3 – 47th SCORE Baja 500, Ensenada, in Baja California, Mexico.
Sept 24-27: Round 4 – 3rd annual SCORE Imperial Valley 250, in Plaster City, Calif., USA
Nov 18-21: Round 5 – 48th SCORE Baja 1000, Nov. 18-21 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
The series is also in its final negotiations with the CBS Sports Network to bring the World Championship Series into homes across the world. “With the diligence and creativity of BCII TV, SCORE has a viable domestic television package this year with the CBS Sports Network as our partner and our international syndication platform. When we finalize our 2015 television package it will continue to move SCORE up the visibility ladder with viable and sustainable programming.”
