Foreboding as the name may sound, there’s nothing to be afraid of when you join the Rigid Industries “Torture Team.” Rather, it’s the sort of team that attracts people like newcomer Jeremy McGrath, whose winning credentials in two-wheeled competitions have translated well to his relatively new occupation as PRO 2 Unlimited driver in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.

McGrath has made a tremendous showing of his debut season in PRO 2 competition, having most recently taken 2nd place (and fastest lap) at Glen Helen earlier this month.

Though he is the newest member of the crew, McGrath is no greenhorn when it comes to off-road racing. His previous experience in Supercross was impressive: 72 race wins, as well as seven overall series championships, were a huge boon to the sport that attracted loads of fans and sponsors. His signature mid-air tricks and stunts also played a part in spawning freestyle motocross as seen in the X-Games, Gravity Games, and other similar events.

McGrath has been making the most of his debut in the PRO 2 Unlimited class this year. Back in round 10 at Glen Helen, he managed to make a podium finish, taking 2nd place and capturing the fastest lap of the evening; a good sign that the man has skill and tenacity, two traits that will help him on the way to glory in the coming seasons.

“I am very happy with a second place tonight, the team has been working hard and this will give us great momentum heading into Reno. It’s great to get the fastest lap award of the night too. I am getting a good feel for the truck and am ready to do it again!” said McGrath after his podium finish at Glen Helen.
