The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 has been a hit since it first was unveiled, but even with all the unique features the vehicle comes with, owners wanted more. Chevrolet Performance listened and showed of what they came up with.
“We are proud to have a performance induction system and exhaust for the ZR2,” Mark Dickens explained. “The exhaust system is made of 304 stainless steel and gives owners a 10 horsepower increase.”
Chevy Performance and Chevy Accessories have plenty of options for Colorado owners to customize their truck.
Everyone knows the ZR2 can off-road, but even with its current suspension, Chevy Performance found a way to improve it. The parts that are coming down the pipeline is what we wanted to find out about.
“The ZR2 has performed well on road, in the desert, and on the rocks, but we decided to take one of those a little further,” Dickens said. “We looked to improve the ZR2’s performance in the desert by lifting it another inch and increased the wheel travel by 20-percent.”
The parts that all ZR2 owners have been craving. If the response continues to be good these parts may be available soon.
With increased travel, one thing that needs to be worried about is axle control. Chevy Performance has an anti-wrap bar that helps control the rearend motion. To help protect the ZR2 with all the extra travel and performance, front and rear jounce shocks help on any hard impacts.
The response has been well for these concept parts and we will need to see if Chevy listens to the reaction. For more information on Chevrolet Performance’s parts visit their website and stay tuned for more from the 2017 SEMA Show.
