FOX Academy just arrived on the scene. The website offers shock absorber how-to videos that explain how shocks work and how to adjust your suspension system for best results. FOX Powered Vehicle Group Director of Marketing Aaron Freitas said, “FOX Academy was developed to be our central digital location to educate customers about suspension technology, and a place we can also support our aftermarket and major OEM launches with in-depth product education.”
Created by FOX Factory Inc., one of the world’s premier high-performance shock absorber manufacturers, FOX Academy is a free source of easy-to-understand shock absorber how-to videos that help new and experienced off-road enthusiasts learn the basic principles of suspension science.

Currently available videos on FOX Academy include a complete explanation of shock and terminology (Getting to Know Your Shocks) so you can speak the language of suspension; an inside look (Why You Need Shocks) at how a shock works and why it’s a critical component in a suspension system; and a peek at Fox Factory’s Intelligent Quick Switch (iQS) system (What is FOX iQS?) that provides an electronically controlled, shift-on-the-fly adjustable shock setup for Jeep JKs, snowmobiles, and UTVs.
Another FOX Factory video is a step-by-step walkthrough (What’s a Shock Service?) of how to properly service a high-performance mountain bike shock. There is also explanation of the Live Valve (What is FOX Live Valve?) self-regulating electronically controlled suspension system for mountain bikes, trucks, and UTVs; and a complete examination (FOX GRIP2 Damper Explained) of FOX Racing’s variable valve control that delivers a custom tune for some of its high-end mountain bike shock/forks.

The six currently available (at the time of this publication) videos are easy-to-understand and make advanced and in-depth subjects available to everyone. More FOX Academy shock absorber and suspension system videos will be launched on a monthly basis. To stay on the cutting edge of shock technology, stay tuned to FOX Academy.
