You’ve undoubtedly heard the phrase “rides like a Cadillac” to describe vehicles with well-tuned suspension systems. But no one had this phrase in mind when the “Team (expletive deleted)” Cadillac came to be. After all, we’re not talking about your classic grocery-getter here. We’re talking about an old hooptie converted into one heck of an unique off-road beast. Check it out in the video above, compliments of GM Authority.
The Cadillac is owned by Ryan Frisby, an avid off-road enthusiast and a one-time member of a team that’s name involves a part of the male anatomy. Why the odd team name, we’re not certain, but one thing is for sure- they had a sick old Cadi that they like to tear around the sand in.
Now, this video is a few years old (posted in 2009), so we don’t know if the Cadi is still a part of the team or not (Googling the team name brought up some very interesting results), but from information linked to Frisby’s YouTube channel, we know that at the time of its very unique existence, the car sported a Chevy 350 small block. The suspension had also been slightly upgraded by some coil springs and gusseting. Otherwise, the car was said to be fairly untouched.
No matter what the car did or didn’t have done to it, however, it certainly could clear a pretty decent jump and is said to have hit speeds around 100 MPH on the sand. Certainly an impressive feat for any old hooptie!
