We recently posted news that Red Bull was bringing back their very unique off road racing event called “Frozen Rush” in 2015 and as such, we wanted to follow up with the animated track map that Red Bull just released. With the event taking place on January 9th, 2015, this will serve as the first short course race of 2015 and will give drivers the chance to test whatever new settings and setups they have been working on since the end of the 2014 season.
Incase you missed the 2014 Red Bull Frozen Rush, the event takes place on the snowy ski slopes of Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry, Maine and offers drivers and spectators alike the chance to witness 900 hp four-wheel drive trucks competing on a 1.5-mile track made out of snow. This year’s race course seems to be even more challenging than last years as there are even bigger features than last year and consist of over-under jumps, an uphill rhythm section, numerous step-up jumps, and a 50-foot gap jump that is sure to be a crowd favorite.
For those of us that cannot make it out to Maine to witness this great event, Red Bull will be streaming the event live on January 9th, 2015 via the Red Bull TV player on RedBull.com/frozenrush. If for some reason you miss out on the live streaming broadcast, the event will be airing a few months later on March 1st, 2015 at 2:00 pm ET on NBC. This event was amazing to see last year, so don’t let this one pass you by!
