Tread Lightly has teamed up with MischiefMakerTV and HCF Motorsports to build a custom 2021 JLU trail rig. Now that it’s built the plan is to go ahead and give it away to a lucky Tread Lightly member. You could be that lucky member!

The Tread Lightly Jeep Turned Out Awesome

The Jeep started as an everyday Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Since then it has been converted to a 2 seat Jeep buggy. This ride comes with one-ton axles, 42-inch sticky tires, a custom roll cage, and some of the best aftermarket parts the off-road industry has to offer. A full build series for the Jeep can be found on MischiefMakerTV. If you are familiar with the channel then you definitely know that it’s worth a watch.

It looks like a bunch of other off-road personalities and influencers had a hand in this awesome project as well!

The Tread Lightly Jeep Build Details

It’s one thing to say there are good parts but what exactly does that mean. Well in this particular case the project comes complete with a huge parts list. While we can’t give away too much info we can share a couple of things. It should be no surprise that the long-time partner of Tread Lightly, BFGoodrich Tires, will be providing the rubber. They will be wrapped around KMC Wheels. R1 Concepts will be supplying stopping power. Warn Industries components, as well as RPM Steering components, will also be featured.

Optima Batteries were chosen to supply power. That power in turn will head to lighting by KC Hilites. A Bestop suntopper will protect the PRP Seats. Radflo Suspension Technology  and Tom Woods Custom Drive Shafts will keep things turning and burning. Additional components of various sorts will be provided by Rock Monster USA, ball joint eliminators, and Artec Industries. Factor 55, onX Offroad, Hepta Mfg, and Stinger Offroad will all get in the game.  Power Tank is providing a little help just in case something unexpected happens.

How To Enter

So now that we know that the build sounds great how do you get involved? Well, the best way is to join Tread Lightly. However, if you’re not interested in that then the most direct way to have a chance is to purchase entries. Entries are five dollars each or you can get five entries for $20 through the Tread Lightly website.

If a membership is on the horizon for you then you get a great deal. The base $25 membership will net you 10 entries. Step up to the $50 membership and get 25 entries. A

$100 membership swipes you 60 entries. Finally, the $250 membership will get you 180 entries. If you are already a member of Tread Lightly you are not left out. If you are ready to renew and maybe even upgrade you get a deal as well. Membership renewal upgrades include up to 200 entries. Members upgrading to a $50 membership get 30 entries. Upgrading to a $100 membership will get you 75 entries. Current members that upgrade to the top tier $250 membership get 200 entries. All of these contributions support a great organization that fights to keep trails open.

Want To See The Tread Lightly Jeep?

I never buy things sight unseen. If I’m going to spend money on a new pair of jeans then I want to try them on. While you don’t get the chance to drive this Jeep you can have the opportunity to see it in person.

On April 11 the Jeep was revealed at the BFG Garage and then want on tour all around Easter Jeep Safari. Starting June 10 the Jeep can be viewed at the Bantam Heritage Jeep Festival at the Butler Brewery and then at the festival itself. Later in June, the Jeep will jump on tour with  the Ultimate 4×4 Field Trip with stop in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas. In August you can find the Jeep at the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion. Finally, in October the Jeep will be present again at the BFGoodrich Garage during the Trail Hero event at Sand Hollow, Utah.

In the end this projects offers a great value for the winner.
