The 2025 Championship Off-Road (COR) season roared to life at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, and Toyo Tires drivers wasted no time making their presence felt.
The famed “Diamond of Dirt Tracks” witnessed Team Toyo secure two crucial class victories over the opening weekend, with Ryan Beat and CJ Greaves showcasing the performance of their Toyo Open Country tires.Saturday’s Round One action saw Ryan Beat pilot his No. 51 Bilstein / Toyo Tires / Lucas Oil / Chevrolet truck to a commanding win in the highly competitive Pro-2 class.
Utilizing off-the-shelf 35×12.50R17 Toyo Open Country C/T tires, Beat grabbed the lead early in the race and maintained his advantage through the checkered flag, marking his first Pro-2 victory of the young season.
“Winning the COR season opener on Saturday was an incredible start to the season,” Beat said, also noting his strong follow-up. “Backing it up with a second-place finish on Sunday is a true testament to our race team and to the dedication of our partners, like Toyo Tires, who believe in our success.”
The momentum for Team Toyo continued into Sunday’s Round Two, where nine-time Pro-4 champion CJ Greaves expertly navigated his No. 22 Monster Energy / Toyota / Toyo Tires truck to the top of the Pro-4 podium.
Greaves, relying on off-the-shelf 35×12.50R17 Toyo Open Country R/T Trail tires, secured his first win of 2025, seamlessly carrying forward the dominance that saw him clinch the 2024 championship at Crandon, Wisconsin.
“Our first time at Wheatland shaped up to be a crazy weekend of racing,” Greaves commented. “I’m glad we were able to pull out a win on Sunday on our trusted Toyo tires and now we’re getting ready for the next rounds in Antigo, Wisconsin.”
These victories place both Ryan Beat (Pro-2) and CJ Greaves (Pro-4) at the top of their respective championship points standings, establishing a strong foundation for their 2025 title campaigns.
Stan Chen, senior manager for events, sponsorships, and motorsports at Toyo Tire U.S.A. praised the team’s performance. “Team Toyo drivers continue to dominate in the COR series, picking up right where they left off last year,” Chen stated. “This is another year of championship aspirations for both CJ and Ryan, and there’s no better way to start the season than with two race wins.”With an impressive opening weekend in the books, Toyo Tires and its drivers now look ahead to the Antigo Off-Road National. The COR series travels to the Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway in Antigo, Wisconsin, from June 6-8, 2025, where Beat and Greaves will aim to extend their early points leads.
