Westin makes a variety of products to serve the off-road market, and it comes as no surprise that Jeeps make up a big portion of that. The newly released Wrangler JL is making big waves in the market, and Westin wants to be there to provide top-quality bumpers, fenders, and more to JL owners.
While Westin was out at the recent 2018 Off Road Expo, we stopped by to talk with Dave Herrera and get the download on what all was coming for the JL. Pointing out the silver Wrangler JK that was parked at their booth, Herrera said, “Basically, everything you see on this Jeep, we have or will have for the JL.”
There were loads of parts that we could see on the JK, so Herrera took us around for the highlights. “Tube fenders, light bars, front and rear full-width or stubby bumpers, they’ll be coming soon,” he said.
Of particular interest were the tube fenders. “These are direct bolt-on units,” said Herrera. “They’re a tube design, as you can see. Metallic, very sturdy, and they won’t flex like the plastic ones. We also have the side marker light right here, which will work as a turn signal and hazard light, so you don’t lose functionality.”
It’s exciting to see what lays in store for Westin’s JL product developments, which they plan to unveil fully at the upcoming SEMA Show. We’ll be there to see it in person, but in the meantime, we recommend you check out the company’s website and Facebook page for more information.
