Off-road racing is something that most people relate it to the deserts of Nevada or down the Baja Peninsula. SCORE‘s president Roger Norman is planning on taking the racing series to a whole new level and location – China.

China is rich in culture and history, but are they ready for 900 horsepower Trophy Trucks. The course could run along part of the Great Wall of China. Pictures surfaced on SCORE’s Facebook of Roger and Chinese associates with the caption, “Roger Norman and SCORE doing early planning on the first race to be held in CHINA!”
Logistics for the Baja 1000 can become tricky at times, but we can only imagine what they would be like for racing half way across the world. Would there be prerunning, would it be a showcase, who would ship there truck and team over — these are all questions that need to be answered.
The Great Wall of China goes through some of the most extreme terrain in Asia, and would surly give drivers and teams something new to traverse. To us, this seems to get closer in line with the Dakar rally.

The Dakar is a rally race that takes place over a couple weeks. A SCORE race in China is more then just shipping the trucks off. Teams have gear, spare tires, chase vehicles, helicopters, and we are sure some hidden secrets.
Either way it is a great idea and something we do not see happening any time soon. Maybe we will see the 2018 SCORE Baja Asia China 1000. This could also be the start of a new SCORE series that races on all of the continents. Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
