Oracle Lighting has introduced its new Oculus Bi-LED Projector Headlights with a Heated Lens for the 2021 to current Ford Bronco. These headlights prevent ice and snow accumulation, a common problem with LED headlights.
Automatic Heating Stops Ice And Snow Buildup
Four-wheel-drive SUVs and trucks pair with winter like a nut pairs with a bolt. In fact, many people in cold and snowy regions own a 4×4 specifically because they need the capability to travel no matter what the weather throws at them. As a result, they are often called upon to exercise their capabilities in the most inclement weather. LED headlights, while incredibly efficient, do not generate enough heat to melt snow and ice buildup. This is a problem because this decrease in output can impair a driver’s visibility.
The new Oculus Bi-LED headlights with heated lens technology from Oracle Lighting are said to be the first and only heated lens option on the market for the Ford Bronco. The heated lens element integrates seamlessly with the headlight’s aesthetics, and Oracle Lighting notes that, unlike other heated lights on the market, the Bronco headlights do not hinder illumination. Additionally, the design complements the headlight’s inner bezel features, creating a factory-style appearance.
These new headlights automatically activate a heating function when the ambient temperature drops near 32 degrees F, which prevents a buildup of ice and snow. The automatic heating function switches off once the ideal temperature is attained.
More Features Of The Oculus Bi-LED Headlights With Heated Lens
The Oculus Bi-LED headlights with a heated lens feature an amber status indicator that illuminates when the heating function is active. An external temperature sensor, strategically mounted near the Bronco’s grille, provides accurate temperature readings and optimal performance. Equipped with an advanced LED projection system, each light delivers 5,200 lumens of illumination. The system is energy-efficient, providing increased light output while consuming less power than traditional factory-installed lamps. The lights have undergone rigorous third-party laboratory testing for FMVSS and NHTSA certification and adhere to DOT and SAE regulations. Additionally, the unique modular design reduces packaging size, resulting in lower shipping costs for the end user.
Full Visibility In Harsh Winter Conditions
Justin Hartenstein, Founder and Director of Product Development at ORACLE Lighting, says, “The Oculus Bi-LED Headlamp system has been one of our best-selling products, and we are thrilled to introduce this new heated lens feature to better serve Bronco owners in colder climates. Our goal is always to enhance both safety and performance, and this innovative solution ensures that drivers maintain full visibility even in harsh winter conditions.”
