Upgrade Your Bronco With BMR Suspension’s New Adjustable Panhard Rod

Over the past few months, the team at BMR Suspension has rolled out a variety of suspension and chassis parts to make the popular 2021-2025 Ford Bronco even better, both off-road and on-road. The company isn’t slowing down with its new product offerings, and its newest creation is a beefy, on-car-adjustable Panhard rod that provides several upgrades compared to the factory rod. As a bonus, it’s designed and manufactured in the USA.

BMR Suspension’s new On-Car Adjustable Panhard Rod is manufactured from 1.5-inch-diameter DOM steel tubing and features greaseable polyurethane bushings.

What Does A Panhard Rod Do?

A Panhard rod, also known as a track bar or Panhard bar, is a simple yet important component on a solid axle-equipped 4×4. It’s a transverse rod located between the vehicle’s frame and the axle housing, which locates the housing laterally, ensuring it stays centered under the vehicle. Each end of the rod has bushing-equipped pivot points that allow it to move up and down. The benefits of a properly centered axle housing include better handling and stability.

Made From DOM Steel Tubing, Includes Polyurethane Bushings

BMR Suspension says that the factory Bronco rod, equipped with soft rubber bushings, can be weak and allow excessive deflection during hard off-roading. The company adds that its new On-Car Adjustable Panhard Rod minimizes bushing deflection and enhances suspension control. The new rod is manufactured from heavy-duty, 1.5-inch-diameter DOM steel tubing and features greaseable, 95-durometer polyurethane bushings. This combination helps dramatically reduce rod deflection compared to the stock bar, resulting in improved handling and less excessive movement.

It’s worth noting that BMR Suspension also offers a non-adjustable Panhard rod for the new Bronco. Like the adjustable version, it’s manufactured from 1.5-inch-diameter DOM steel tubing and features greaseable polyurethane bushings.

Adjustability To Ensure The Axle Housing Is Centered

Additionally, the BMR Suspension On-Car Adjustable Panhard Rod provides the adjustability you may need after making suspension modifications, such as adding a lift. It will allow you to properly center the axle housing, whereas a fixed, non-adjustable rod can cause the axle housing to shift.

BMR’s new adjustable Panhard rod is available in a durable red or black hammertone powder coat. The company says it can be installed in approximately 1–2 hours. BMR also offers a non-adjustable Panhard rod. For more information on the company’s Panhard rods and their full line of Bronco suspension and chassis parts, visit the company’s website.
