You bought your 2014 Silverado or Sierra and went with the standard 5.3L V8, or perhaps even beefed it up to the 6.2L V8. But fresh from the factory, these half-tons come packed with exhaust manifolds and systems that inhibit the real power you could be tapping into. Enter Kooks Custom Headers, who now offer these swell new headers and Y-pipes that boast stainless steel construction and no surprise “Check Engine Light” error code when you start the truck up in the morning.
Official Release:
The new direct injection 5.3L and 6.2L are finally available in GM trucks! These new powerful engines are surprisingly restricted with the factory exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. This is where Kooks used our 50+ years of header and exhaust building experience to hand-craft a set of long tube headers with a Y-pipe style exhaust connection that opens up the flow of gases. The headers are constructed out of 18 gauge thick 304 stainless steel, have 3/8″ thick laser cut flanges, venturi improving stamped merged collectors, and a ball-and-socket connection that ensures a leak-free seal. Order the Y-pipe with our 49-state, EPA-legal, ultra high-performance “Green” catalytic converters for the best performance gains and no “Check Engine Lights.”
Features:
- Headers are made from 18 gauge thick 304 stainless steel
- 3/8″ thick laser cut flanges
- Y-pipes are 49-state legal
