To celebrate 85 years of off-road dominance, the Jeep brand is going big. Jeep just launched what it’s calling the “Twelve 4 Twelve” campaign: 12 months, 12 limited-edition Wranglers, one dropping on the 12th of every month. And leading the charge is the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392.

Operation Airdrop: A Yearlong Celebration Of Jeep’s 4×4 Legacy
The campaign is being rolled out under a fitting name: “Operation Airdrop.” It’s a nod to Jeep’s WWII origins, when Willys MBs were literally parachuted into battle zones nearly 85 years ago.
“There is no other automotive brand that holds this kind of history in America,” said Olivier Francois, global chief marketing officer of Stellantis. “Each special-edition release will serve as a symbolic airdrop in our yearlong marketing campaign—uniting product, place and purpose.”
The “Operation Airdrop” video series kicks off today, featuring cinematic visuals enhanced by AI-generated effects from 1986 Studios and creative direction from the team at Highdive. Hardcore Jeep fans will want to pay attention—hidden clues (“follow the feathers”) will hint at what’s coming in the next 11 editions.

Jeep Wrangler Moab 392: The First Drop Lands Hard
Leading this yearlong celebration is the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392, a nameplate that honors both Jeep’s 85th anniversary and the 60th anniversary of the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.
“The first release in our Twelve 4 Twelve series is the Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 edition, a purpose-built powerhouse that delivers exceptional value and performance,” said Bob Broderdorf, CEO of Jeep. “Our community made their voices heard, and we listened. The 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 will remain a defining force within the Jeep lineup.”
That 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 churns out a thumping 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, matched to a Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system with a 2.72:1 transfer case, 4.56 axle ratio, and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires. This is muscle-meets-mobility—engineered to crawl, climb, and conquer without compromise.

Rugged Meets Refined
Jeep didn’t skimp on the details, either. The Wrangler Moab 392 comes fit with a body-color hardtop, rock rails, black tow hooks, and mold-in-color fender flares. Inside are heated black Nappa leather-trimmed seats, a premium Alpine audio system, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The Sky One-Touch power top, an 8,000-pound Warn winch, and all weather floor mats are optional (among other items).

Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 Price and Availability
This is where things get really interesting. Orders for the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 are officially open, starting at $79,995 (plus $1,995 destination). If that feels a bit cheaper it’s because it is. Previously, the only way to get a V8-powered Wrangler was by shelling out $100,590 (plus destination) for a 2025 Wrangler 392. The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 is more than $20,000 less expensive. Jeep officials say this has been achieved by reducing the amount of “mandatory options” added to the vehicle. However, they failed to elaborate on exactly what content was removed.

Jeep’s Trail-Tested Legacy Marches On
“Each product release will embody the boldness, authenticity and unapologetic spirit that defines our brand,” added Broderdorf. “It’s an ongoing tribute to the capability, freedom, and adventurous DNA that have shaped our brand for generations.”
If this first drop is any indication, Jeep’s 85th anniversary isn’t just a look back—it’s a full-throttle celebration of everything that keeps the off-road community hungry for the next trail.
