Jeep has added to the excitement of its 2014 lineup by announcing the return of the “Altitude” edition to its three most renowned models, including the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler. And for some more good news, customers won’t have to wait too much longer for the new style to drop into their favorite Jeep dealership, because the company will have them ready to go very soon.

What makes the appearance unique is the “blacked-out” tint applied to the exterior, giving the vehicles a stark and aggressive look that first struck a successful chord with consumers two years ago at the Houston Auto Show, in the form of a concept Grand Cherokee. Jeep polled its fans for a new name to give the style, and the name “Altitude” won out.
“The unique ‘blacked-out’ theme of the Jeep Altitude models resonated so well with consumers two years ago that it makes perfect sense to bring them back now, particularly since we have new versions of the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee,” said Mike Manley, President and CEO of Jeep.
“What began as a production-intent concept and naming contest generated significant buzz and evolved into a lineup of special-edition Jeep vehicles that appeal to many consumers – especially those wanting a very distinct, aggressive and edgy look.”
The Altitude Edition is already available on Jeep’s Compass and Patriot models. The Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler varieties will be made available by this spring.
