Moab is the mecca of rock-crawling here in the Western United States. From Arizona to Washington, nothing quite makes the grade the way this rocky hotspot does. And while Easter Jeep Safari was canceled earlier this year, this upcoming event – the Moab 4×4 Expo – is determined to bring some joy back to Moab.
The event is set to take place later this month, October 28th to the 31st. For those four glorious days, off-roaders will get to experience Moab in all its autumn glory. Several trails are on the menu, including the famous Hell’s Revenge and Fins & Things. Even extremely difficult trails like Metal Masher and Pritchet will be open for rides.
Several aftermarket companies are joining as well to sponsor and showcase at the Moab 4×4 Expo. First and foremost is Optima Batteries, famous for their AGM batteries and the YellowTop battery that we covered in a torture test a while back. Other sponsors include AMSOIL, J.E. Reel Driveline, Rugged Radios, GearWrench, Bilstein, Nitto Tire, and Vision Wheel.

In addition to the trail rides taking place every day, this event will also have some fun for the kids and thrill-seekers at the Old Spanish Trail Arena. From Wednesday to Friday, R/C Track Trail Runs will let people bring out their rock-crawling R/C cars for some micro-machine hijinks. It’s a fun way to squeeze in some off-roading and test your skills on a smaller scale. Nearby, people can also participate in a Tuff Trucks Challenge and see just how quick and nimble their rigs really are.
All in all, the Moab 4×4 Expo should be a hoot and a holler. For more information, be sure to visit the official website.
