Even the diehard off-road guys still have a soft spot for classic cars. If you are one of them, we found the one for you up for sale on eBay right now. This vehicle looks like something that would come from the Richard Rawlings and Gas Monkey Garage.
Up for sale is a four-wheel-drive 1966 Ford Mustang with a manual transmission and 351C motor with Boss 302 heads. You are probably thinking, “Did they just say ‘four-wheel-drive’ and ‘Mustang’?” Yes, we did. This Mustang sits on a 1976 Ford Bronco frame.
This is definitely one of a kind. It appears that the owner of the vehicle built this back in the 1980s. It is still in very great shape, and still runs and drives well (according to the ad). Most chops like this do not come out as clean as this one did.
The blue interior looks to be in amazing shape. It looks just as it would have in 1966, free of any rips or tears in the seats. Inside, we see a floor shifter for the four-wheel-drive and a three-speed column shifter.
The best part of the deal may be that you get two vehicles for the price, and that’s counting the 1966 Mustang/1976 Bronco as one. The owner is also throwing in a 1966 coupe donor car with tons of parts. He states it does drive as is, and needs paint and body work too.
The Buy It Now price for the vehicle is at $14,000, and when you take into consideration the condition and what has been done, well…All we’ll say is that it ticks the boxes for “oddball” and “awesome”, and that works for us!
