As ORX’s coverage of SEMA 2022 gets underway, we found another longtime 4×4 crowd favorite: Bestop. This year, the market leader in premium soft tops and automotive accessories has brought two new products to SEMA, with the first being damn near 35 years in the making.
Jeep JK Branded Soft Tops
Bestop has waited over three decades for this moment. As the exclusive supplier of factory soft tops for the rugged Jeep Wrangler, Bestop has been selected to produce three officially licensed and branded Jeep soft tops.
Released exclusively for JK Wrangler owners, these new soft tops mark the first time a Bestop product has been permitted to use Jeep branding.

Available in “Premium Twill” and “Black Diamond” fabrics, this all-new branded lineup includes Trektop, Trektop Glide, and Trektop Pro models.
The Jeep brand is defined by open-air freedom, and Bestop has been a key partner in developing that for the Jeep customer. Responding to the Jeep community with these new JK tops is a great way to give our customers what they are looking for. — Jim Morrison, Senior Vice President and head of Jeep brand North America
Bestop Bronco Fender Flares
A few weeks back, Bestop brand ambassador Heather Storm teased some fresh fender flares on her “Area 51” four-door Bronco. In Storm’s Bestop-oriented Instagram video, she offered a rundown of the pre-production prototypes and emphasizes how they have enhanced the build.
Reportedly inspired by the 1966 Ford Bronco, Bestop’s Ford Bronco Fender Flares are a retro homage to the lines of old. Relying upon what Bestop refers to as “high-quality long-lasting modern materials,” these flares are about as tough as it gets.
On sale now, and on display at the SEMA Show, Bestop’s new Fender Flares appear to offer a ton of potential. And yes, Bestop has both two and four-door versions of the 2021 and 2022 Ford Bronco covered with this product launch.
First off, these matte black bolt-on flares look stellar in stock form. Is the whole two-tone contrast look not your thing? Bestop’s new Bronco flares are fully paint-match friendly and require little to no prep work.
There’s also the whole design and construction side of the equation to consider. Each fender flare is concocted with a two-piece inner and outer structure for increased durability and OE-grade levels of fitment.
Installation is a snap, too. Bestop’s new Bronco flares utilize the Ford 4×4’s stock fastener locations for an effortless clip-on approach. Fastening it all together is a set of stainless steel hardware. This is accompanied by ultra-high-strength 3M double-sided tape for a tight seal against debris and grime.
Constructed from a “thermoformed” material, Bestop’s Fender Flares are flexible, shatter-proof, and UV-resistant. Pricing for Bestop’s two-door Bronco Fender Flares (Part #49700) retails at $599. Meanwhile, four-door variants of Bestop’s Ford Bronco Fender Flares (Part #49701) only cost a mere $50 more, and retail for $649.
“Bestop is now offering Fender Flares for this exciting 4×4, making it stand out from the crowd. This stylish new product complements the Ford Bronco from every angle. They are a subtle, yet unmistakable upgrade that personalizes the Bronco for a look that truly stands apart,” says Scott Baird, Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Bestop.
