Segway’s New Xyber E-Bike: The Silent Beast

Segway has unveiled its incredible Xyber electric bike. Not only is it visually striking, but it also has the performance to match. In fact, Segway calls it the Silent Beast. The Segway Xyber e-bike is engineered for two-up off-road travel, and it sports a full suspension and outstanding range.

Motorcycle-Class Double Cradle Frame System

The Segway Xyber arguably changes the game in e-bike riding. One of the things that make it stand out is its stunning and unique appearance. It’s designed specifically for two riders. The Xyber is equipped with a motorcycle-class double cradle frame system. This means it guarantees rock-solid stability and reliability, even when tackling rough and tough terrain. And that extra-large seat cushion isn’t just for show. It’s there to make sure both riders are comfortable, thus turning those extended adventures into a great experience.

High-Speed Motor, Fast Acceleration

The Xyber has a powerful high-speed motor that contributes to 0-19.8 mph acceleration in just 2.5 seconds. The bike’s frame can accommodate two batteries, boasting a total capacity of 1440 Wh. This extends the bike’s range to a solid 95 miles. The Xyber has a full suspension system to ensure a smooth and comfortable ride, while ultra-wide tires provide stability and control.

The Segway Xyber e-Bike is Loaded with Tech

Tech abounds in the Xyber. The active scene perception technology intelligently adjusts power output. It also manages things like headlights, initiating, and locking based on road conditions and user behavior. Seamless connectivity integrates with mobile health apps and Ninebot’s vehicle networking platforms. Real-time data monitoring includes mileage, speed, calories burned, and more. And to make sure the Xyber stays where you leave it, there’s comprehensive anti-theft measures. These include hidden rear wheel hub locks and Ninebot air lock AC that triggers a mobile alarm. There’s also GPS functionality and location-based alarm systems. Furthermore, the all-in-one smart cockpit integrates applications, electronic speakers, sensor headlights, music playback, and intelligent navigation on a color display dashboard. Tailored operation offers stepless power assistance settings for intuitive and adaptive control.

Significant Leap Forward in Electric Bike Innovation

The Xyber was one of two e-bikes unveiled at CES 2024 by Segway. The other being the Xafari Urban Outdoor Explorer. “We’re thrilled to introduce the launch of our Segway Xafari and Segway Xyber, representing a significant leap forward in electric bike innovation,” said Alan Zhao, Segway E-Bike Division General Manager. “These e-bikes embody Segway’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology and unparalleled performance to our riders. With adjustable features, remarkable stability and advanced connectivity, these bikes redefine what’s possible for off-road adventures.” The Segway Xyber will be available in late 2024.
