This year’s Red Bull Frozen Rush has come and gone, but we’re still feeling the rush of watching racers battle it out in the snowy landscape of the Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry, Maine. Todd Leduc, seen here piloting his rip-roaring truck around the course, definitely gave it his all in the competition.

redbull_2Battling his way through the Pro 4 class that made up the entirety of the four-wheeled racers, Leduc’s efforts could be seen in this epic GoPro video above, as well as in the sponsorship support he’s received from the likes of, among others, J.E. Reel Drivelines. We took the opportunity to speak with Jim Reel, owner and founder of the company, and see what all Leduc has to empower him to the finish line.

“We’ve been big supporters of the Leduc clan for more than 20 years,” said Reel. “It started with Curt, the father, and his racing career back in the 1990s and 2000s, racing short-course events in CORR out here in the West, and using our drivelines to compete. His sons, Kyle and Todd, have grown to be just as terrific at motorsports as their father, and we’re proud to work with them nowadays.”

Kyle’s particular setup has a set of J.E. Reel’s custom-built 1480 driveshafts, utilizing two-inch splines from a heavy-duty diesel truck. “Todd’s experiences with 1 9/16-inch splines were not good,” explained Reel. “We upgraded him to two-inch ones, and now he’s got as durable of a drivetrain as he needs to whip around the track.”

Leduc gave it his all at the Frozen Rush, and will be back soon as the 2015 season of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing starts up again in Lake Elsinore from March 20th to the 21st. We’ll be cheering him on from the sidelines, and so will J.E. Reel, whose contact information can be found below.
