Ford dropped a serious surprise on truck fans at the 2025 SEMA Show. People have been clamoring for a “Maverick ST” ever since the compact truck hit the scene, and Ford has finally shown they’re listening. Meet the Ford Maverick 300T, a concept truck that injects a heavy dose of performance into the practical hauler. It’s the muscular Maverick enthusiasts have been dreaming of, and it’s the closest thing to an ST we’ve seen yet.

Mustang-Sourced Muscle
So, how do you get a Maverick to 300 horsepower? Ford’s team checked the right boxes, dipping into the corporate parts bin. The spunky 2.0-liter EcoBoost gets muscled up to 300 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The magic comes from a larger turbocharger snagged from the current EcoBoost Mustang, which sports a compressor wheel 6mm larger than stock. To handle the extra boost, the Ford Custom Garage team installed a Mishimoto intercooler that’s 58.8 percent larger, drastically cutting charge-air temps. A Borla exhaust and a Ford Performance ProCal 4 calibration finalize the powertrain.

Ford Maverick 300T: More Than Just Speed
This concept isn’t just an engine tune. To match the 50-horsepower and 40-lb-ft gains, the Ford Maverick 300T gets a serious handling upgrade. It sits lower on a suspension setup lifted from the Maverick Lobo, which includes performance handling springs, monotube dampers, and stiffer anti-roll bars. The goal was to sharpen response without wrecking the daily-drivable comfort. “The upgraded suspension, wheels, tires, and brakes work together to make a more capable, more confident truck,” said Matt Simpson of Ford.

Aggressive ST-Inspired Styling
A performance truck needs to look the part. The 300T gets an aggressive Air Design spoiler up front and a rearend defined by dual Borla exhaust tips—a clear nod to Ford’s ST heritage. The concept gives off a mean sport truck vibe and is available in either Black or Bronze appearance packages. These include unique “300T” graphics, Ford Performance badges on the fenders and grille, and black-chrome lug nuts. Inside, the theme continues with Ford Performance floormats and red accent stitching.

From SEMA Show Floor to Your Driveway
Here’s the best part: this isn’t just a SEMA fantasy. Ford built the concept on the Maverick’s all-wheel-drive platform, optimized with the 4K Tow Package for better traction and cooling. And it’s coming. “A version of the 300T project kit will be available to customers in 2026,” confirmed Mike Levine, Ford’s North America Product Communications Director. This factory-engineered package is exactly what owners have been asking for.
