Doing our weekly search on the Insurance Auto Auctions website this week, we came across a off road worthy 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. The damage on the Silverado, with only 18,400 miles, can be seen right away from front to back. It makes you wonder how and when the light bar was so elegantly placed atop the cab.
This 2014 Chevrolet Silverado has seen better days in its short lifespan. It comes equipped with side steps, aftermarket lift, as well as large wheels and tires to set this truck apart from the rest. You even get a light bar with mounts above the windshield. It appears to be one of the few things not damaged in the crash.
The bad, and there is plenty of it, is that this 2014 Chevrolet Silverado looks to be completely toast from the front to the rear, with the cab looking to be the only thing untouched. The truck has major front and rear end damage which appears to be from someone smashing into the truck and thus pushing the truck into something else. It also appears that the driver side rear axle came out and took the wheel and tire with it, as pictures do not even show lug nuts back there.
Untouched interior, minus a deployed airbag
With the truck being only a year or two old, we hope that by the additional modifications done to the truck, that it was out having fun. With the factory 5.3-liter V8 and four-wheel-drive, you know the truck had the power and capability to go wherever the owner wanted, and with all the damage that this truck took, we know that owner pushed it to the limits.
This may not be the first pick for a new project vehicle, but it’d be good for someone just looking for a truck with a decent condition cab and motor. What do you think? Would you want to take a chance on this Silverado?
