Want a Raptor, but don’t want to pay $70K to $80K to own one? There is an alternative. Check out the Predator. VWerks, a specialty vehicle builder and off-road parts manufacturer, offers its dealer-direct package, the VWerks F150 Predator, that takes Ford’s best-selling pickup and transforms its overall look with new body panels, bumpers and a host of options that make it look more off-road capable.
Through select dealerships, you can now order the Predator outfitted with additional gear to increase its off-road capability and the overall look you desire. “We want to customize the truck buying experience,” says Jeff Wyatt, CEO of VWerks. “Most factory off-road trucks use a one-size-fits-all philosophy. We are giving enthusiasts the opportunity to buy an aggressively styled truck they can tailor to their needs.
“Two wheel drive, four wheel drive, a mild lift to hardcore suspension; whether you want a highly modified truck capable of tackling the trails, or a cool looking pickup that will drop jaws at the local hardware store, the Predator can be modified to fit you.” Wyatt continued. The VWerks Predator can be equipped with a base package for the 2007 through 2013 Ford Super Crew Short Bed F150s or fitted with additional upgrade options.
The Predator body package includes a fiberglass hood, front grille, front Venom bumper, front fenders with VWerks badging, front inner splash shields, rear bed walls, hardware kit and paint to match the OE finish. The base package also includes BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain MK2 Tires, V-Tec Wizard 395 Black Wheels, a 2-inch leveling kit, an LED light kit in the front grille and Predator graphics.
For those who want to further customize their truck, options include Fox Shox Coil Over Suspension, a Flowmaster cat back performance exhaust, a fabricated rear Venom bumper, Venom side step kit, a cold air intake, tonneau cover with matched paint, VWerks floor mats, Kicker sound system and Katzkin custom leather seats.
The Predator is available now through VWerks’ growing nationwide network of authorized Ford dealers, and individual Predator components can be ordered for truck owners that want to upfit their current pickup. Custom builds are also available for customers that have specific lifestyle needs. For more inmormation, check out VWerks.com
