In West Michigan, overlooking the shore of Lake Michigan are the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. For decades, gearheads and truck lovers have flocked to this state park which is one of the few remaining places in the U.S. that you can freely drive on sand dunes.
Decades of prevailing westerly Great Lakes winds transformed a ridge of sand dunes over looking Silver Lake into 2,000 acres of spectacular, moving sand dunes along four miles of Lake Michigan shoreline.
These sand dunes provide a lot of fun to off-road enthusiasts, who gather to see several vehicles flying through the sky in attempts to beat gravity at her own game.

Mostly Ford and GM trucks here, well, it IS Michigan State. Unlike the West Coast, they all probably known someone who works in the auto industry. So we know where their loyalties are, right? Keeping it “local.”
