These full-size starters also feature a strong, heat-treated shaft and a nine-tooth pinion gear. Each one also has a specially wound copper armature and a high-temperature solenoid. Following assembly, each starter is 100 percent quality tested.

Depending on the part number, Tuff Stuff’s 1974-1977 Jeep starters are available in Stealth Black or chrome-plated finishes. This means that, in most cases, you can choose the finish that best suits your Jeep, whether it’s crawling trails or showing off at a show.

The starter shown here is the Tuff Stuff 3211NA for 1974-1977 Jeep applications. Mechanically, it’s the same as the 3211NB, except this version has a chrome finish.

The Tuff Stuff starters for 1974-1977 Jeeps fit a wide variety of models and powerplants. These include the 1974-1977 Jeep CJ-5 in both six- and eight-cylinder configurations. Additionally, they fit the six- and eight-cylinder 1974-1977 Cherokee SJ, as well as the 360 cubic-inch and 401 cubic-inch 1976 and 1977 Jeep Wagoneer.
