Toyota is out with a fresh batch of updates for its 2026 Tundra full size pickup. While most of the improvements center around comfort and convenience, there are a few enhancements that’ll make off-road enthusiasts happy.
The 2026 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Makes Waves
Each year, Toyota offers an exclusive signature color for its TRD Pro models. For 2026 this new hue is an aqua blue called Wave Maker. We’ve previously reported that this new color will find its way onto not only the 2026 Tundra TRD Pro but also the Sequoia TRD Pro and Tacoma TRD Pro.
In addition, the 2026 Tundra TRD Pro will offer the wild ISO Dynamic seat that debuted with the current generation of Tacoma TRD Pro. These unique seats utilize shock absorbing technology to effectively smooth out the bumps and jitters that get transmitted through the chassis and into the drive and passenger seats. They do this with adjustable air pressure chambers that can be set to individual preferences and weight. These seats will be optional, and Toyota has yet to announce a price.
The rest of the TRD Pro’s parts list remains carry over. Additionally, all TRD Off-Road models include off-road must-haves like Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, Downhill Assist Control, electronic locking rear diff, and a Multi-Terrain Monitor
TRD Rally Package Gets A Boost
Launched in 2025 as a limited edition with body-color accents and tri-color Toyota Racing graphics, the TRD Rally package arrived as an enhancement for TRD Off-Road trimmed trucks. For 2026, the TRD Rally package receives the option of a 3-inch TRD lift kit. This kit includes taller TRD springs, Bilstein dampers, and aluminum upper control arms.
Other Small Changes For The 2026 Tundra Lineup
In addition to the off-road hardware upgrades, Toyota’s top-of-the-line Capstone trim gets to Shale leather seats with more texture. Limited trucks receive updated leather seating surfaces as well. TRD Off-Road, Platinum, and 1794 trims get optional power running boards. And a trailer hitch is now standard across the lineup.
More Fuel = More Fun
One of the smartest moves in this refresh? A 32.2-gallon fuel tank is now standard across all grades. No more worrying if you got the small tank or big tank. Although, this really only affect the more basic SR and SR5 models.
Final Thoughts
While Toyota hasn’t announced pricing or availability for 2026 Tundra, we expect pricing for the truck to start close to that of the 2025 model, which was $40,090 plus destination for the base SR and $72,510 for the TRD Pro.
