There’s something special about grit, dust, and the sound of a well-tuned off-roader eating up the desert—and Toyota knows it. This past weekend, beneath the wide Montana sky at the XOVERLAND Ranch in Three Forks, Toyota Motor North America revved up excitement for the 2025 Rebelle Rally, reaffirming its commitment to the off-road community in a big way.
Toyota Takes A Bold Turn With Its First External Rebelle Rally Team
For the first time ever, Toyota isn’t just sending its internal talent to the all-women’s Rebelle Rally, it’s also throwing its weight behind a powerhouse external team. And not just any team: Rachelle Croft, co-founder of XOVERLAND and CEO of The Overland Collective, is hitting the dunes with co-driver Taylor Pawley, marking a triumphant return to the rally stage.
You might remember this duo from 2019, when they stormed the competition and took home first place overall. That year, Croft’s seasoned command behind the wheel and Pawley’s razor-sharp navigation skills proved to be an unbeatable combination. Now, with Toyota backing their 2025 effort, they’re coming back not just for the ride, but to win.
“We are thrilled to work with Rachelle and Taylor, who have demonstrated their passion for off-roading both on the course and outside of it,” said Samantha Barber, senior manager of production engineering at Toyota and multi-year Rebelle Rally competitor. “Following their example of pushing boundaries and embracing new challenges is an inspiration to us.”
12 Toyota Team Members, 1 Wild Ride
Toyota isn’t stopping with Croft and Pawley. The company will once again send 12 of its own team members to compete, giving its engineers and professionals a unique chance to test the brand’s vehicles under extreme real-world conditions. The Rebelle Rally is 2,500 kilometers of some of the toughest terrain Nevada and California have to offer.
