It is safe to say that we have a soft spot for the 2021 Ford Bronco, and the excitement about the rugged off-roader grew even more after Ford Performance introduced its Bronco 4600 racing trucks. The racing trucks perfectly demonstrate the versatility of Blue Oval Brand’s new SUV.
Since then, the company has gone on record to claim that customers can dismantle their Broncos down to their underlying platforms, effortlessly. This will allow buyers to reassemble their models using different components and even replace parts such as the fenders, grille, roof, and even doors.
The Bronco’s modular components allow the SUV to morph into exciting avatars. When Ford designed the 2021 Bronco, the company focused on simplifying the process of swapping out almost every panel on the SUV. The vehicle’s modular design allows customers to remove the roof panels by using simple latch systems. Ford proudly claims that it is a one-man job.
Every window on the SUV comes equipped with a release latch, and after dispatching with some fasteners, the rear hardtop can be removed with minimal effort, and the job only takes two people. Owners can undo three I-shaped latches on the driver side panel and tug on a fourth latch, removing the Bronco’s mold-in color hard top roof panels.
The fourth latch stays closed to stop the panel from sliding out in case the SUV comes with a roof rack installed. The roof rack itself can be removed by undoing the fasteners using a T30 hex tool. Ford also offers a special tool that removes a triangle-shaped bolt which keeps the rack in place.
It is awe-inspiring to see that Ford actively worked towards developing a vehicle that can transform to meet its customer’s preferences. What do you think of this? Let us know in the comments below.
