Off-road families are just that; off-road families. So why not try to get the whole family involved? Well, if you’re an off-road enthusiast looking to get your children hooked on the off-road community from a young age, then Tonka has just the right product for you!
What guy doesn’t remember playing with a Tonka truck at some point while they were growing up? Known for their big yellow dump trucks and tractors, Tonka has really made a big push into the off-road community the past couple of years and as of 2015, is the title sponsor for Eric Barron’s Pro 4 effort in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.
This past week when we were covering the LOORRS season opener in Lake Elsinore, California, we came across the Tonka booth which was essentially a large dirt pile with all manner of Tonka trucks spread about for kids and adults alike to play with. The booth was a hit among the young demographic of LOORRS attendees and was all but packed the vast majority of the race day.
At the display, Tonka had their latest toys on hand which include both a Pro 2 replica and a Trophy Truck replica – both of which have a ton of scale realism compared to the trucks they have made in recent years. Featuring real working suspensions and a host of various off-road sounds from the onboard speakers, Tonka’s new Pro 2 and Trophy Truck replicas are quite a cool way to get your younger family members involved with off-road racing!
