The 2017 Lucas Oil Off Road Series (LOORRS) season may be in the books, but there is plenty of excitement to look forward to in 2018. Next year’s schedule was recently released and it hosts action at some of the top courses.
“We are honored to release our 2018 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series schedule,” said Series Director Ritchie Lewis. “We look forward to bringing the electricity of the night race events to the fans and racers alike as we tackle 12 rounds of scheduled points events. The series will be back at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona to complete the 2018 tour with the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup. We will also continue with the international fan favorite at the Baja International Short Course in Ensenada and are excited to head back to our flagship track, the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland.”
The 2018 season is set to fill every seat in the house and will do so with more night races than ever before. The all-new format will see five night race events, with four being single event night races, and four being two-day race events with Utah being a two-night race event.
“We are pleased to announce that the Junior 1 and 2 classes, Modified Kart and both UTV classes will be included on the full LOORRS 2018 schedule,” Lewis continued. “With the success of the Production 1000 class in 2017, we have added the Production Turbo 1000 class for 2018. We have seen major support from the UTV industry and can’t wait to see the green flag drop on this new LOORRS class next season.”
