Spotlight: Energy Suspension Makes Life Better For UTVs

This year’s 2018 Sand Sports Super Show was another one for the history books. We saw thousands of visitors walking and gawking at the latest UTVs and sand rails, all excited for what’s next in off-road and dune-blasting in particular.

For their part, Energy Suspension was proud to showcase some terrific kits intended for the Polaris RZR. We spoke with Nelson Hernandez to get the inside scoop on what these kits meant for RZRs and how they would improve their lifespan.

“We have everything one needs, from seat grommet sets to control arm and sway bar bushings,” said Hernandez. “We offer a good amount of replacement parts to help customers make the jump from OEM rubber to polyurethane.”

Polyurethane is Energy Suspension's bread and butter, and the company offers it for many of the suspension components on the Polaris RZR. These include the sway bars, control arms, and more.

Polyurethane is the material that is practically synonymous with Energy Suspension. All of their products use it in some form, and the benefits of it are multiple. “It’s stronger and will last longer than rubber, and it withstands chemicals and breakdowns,” said Hernandez. “On parts like control arms, the rubber will break down and lead to a failure, whereas our polyurethane will put up with use and abuse for far longer.”

Nearby the booth was a Can-Am Maverick, which Hernandez commented on, saying, “Currently, we only offer parts for the RZR, but we are making inroads toward the other makes and models like the Maverick. We are looking to have those ready soon.”

There’s hardly been a better time to check out UTVs, now with companies like Energy Suspension going full-bore on product development for the platforms. For more information on Energy’s latest and greatest, be sure to check out their website and Facebook page.
