The 2016 SCORE season may not be over yet, but the planning for the majestic 50th Baja 1000 in 2017 is already underway. SCORE announced its four-race schedule for 2017 that is capped off with the race everyone has been waiting for.
The 2017 season kicks off March 30-April 2 with the 31st San Felipe 250, followed by the 49th Baja 500 June 1-4, the Rosarito Beach 21st Desert Classic September 14-17, and then the 50th anniversary of the Baja 1000 November 14-18.
Dust2Glory will also be released in 2017 in conjunction with the Baja 1000. The film started filming during the 2015 Baja 1000 and the entire 2016 World Desert Championship season.
“SCORE has been building the operational and marketing assets for the past few years preparing for this historic 2017 global event and season,” said Roger Norman, CEO and President of SCORE International. “Mexican races are the cornerstone of SCORE and to have all four races South of the border is a distinct honor and a wonderful privilege. We welcome the challenge to add to the illustrious SCORE Baja racing legacy.”

We will have to wait over a year to see what SCORE has to offer for the 50th running of the Baja 1000.
The 2017 Baja 1000 is the race that everyone is looking forward to. A race that will take teams and drivers over 1,300 miles down the peninsula starting in Ensenada and ending in La Paz. We still feel that SCORE is not unveiling everything about this magically year, we will just have to wait and see what magic we may be in store for. What do you think SCORE should do for the 2017 Baja 1000?
