The Annual Aiken Music Festival kicks off this Saturday, July 12th, 2014 in sunny Aiken, South Carolina. The festival is a celebration of country music, blue grass, blues, and good old rock and roll. It’s a time for cold beer, BBQ and a massive Jeep Invasion. The Kasier Willys Classic Jeep show will be part of the festivities this weekend. The show will be opened to all Jeeps as well as the classic Willys and Kaiser Jeeps from 1941 to 1971.
The show is sponsored by Jeep Hunters Productions, Omix-ADA and vintage parts manufacturer Kasier-Willys Auto Supply. The show will be hosted by Dave Logan, founder of the 4WD School, who brings together 21 years worth of off-road, vintage jeep restoration, and 4WD training to the show. He will be showing off a restored vintage Jeep that was built by Omix-ADA, with Logan himself overseeing the production.
Two vintage Jeeps will be part of the show. One is a USMC Jeep built by Omix-ADA, and the other is a classic Kaiser-Willys.
The festivities will include a Jeep Show with two categories, one for modern Jeeps and one for the classic Willys and Kasier Jeeps. Omix-ADA and Kaiser-Willys Auto Supply will be putting up gift certificates as prizes for the best in show categories. Admission to participate in the show is $35, general admission for spectators $20, $15 for Military, and it’s free for kids 10 and under.
The show will open its gates to Jeep owners at 11:00 a.m. on the day of the Festival. The music starts at 3:30 p.m and will run through 10:30 p.m. Well-known local acts and jam bands such as Mike Frost Band, Anybody’s Guess, Preston and Weston, and Palmetto Groove will be blasting their tunes.
