If you’re in the market for a go anywhere, do anything, survive the zombie apocalypse type of vehicle, then you need to take a look at JD3 and their RockZilla off-road beast. Custom built as a “jack of all trades” in the off-road world, the RockZilla is said to be easy to drive both on-road and off. Jeremy Dixon, designer and fabricator of the RockZilla has had a long standing background in turning his automotive dreams into a reality – and the RockZilla is his latest creation.
Serving as the backbone to the vehicle is his platform of choice – Cummins-powered Ram 2500s and 3500s. The Cummins powerplant is known throughout the off-road industry for its long-lasting reliability and even more importantly, its gut wrenching amounts of torque. Thanks to a sturdy frame and a great powerplant, the RockZilla is a vehicle that is designed to be driven everywhere from the highway to the tops of mountains.
Prices start at $75,000 for a two seater and go up from there depending on the options you select. To make matters even better, the RockZilla is street legal in most states and can be serviced nearly anywhere thanks to its extremely common Cummins motor. While these trucks don’t seem to be the vehicle of choice if you live in a downtown metropolitan area, we here at Off Road Xtreme think they would be an absolute blast to drive daily – especially in Prius-filled California.
