Like the BCDC Alpha, the BCDC Alpha R is compatible with hybrid and electric vehicles, offers start battery recovery and charging, and supports over-the-air updates. Installation is also straightforward, thanks to the pushbutton interface and screw connections, which eliminate the need for soldering. Notably, the REDARC BCDC Alpha range is the only DC-DC charger that provides both start battery charging and recovery. In just 15 minutes, you can recover a flat start battery with the push of a button, allowing you to get back on the road quickly.

Monitor Your Power Usage And Directly Control Lights And Appliances

The BCDC Alpha R introduces additional features, such as remote access to monitor your setup via the RedVision app or display. This system is similar to the monitoring capabilities of the Manager Alpha, providing immediate visibility into battery percentage, remaining charge, and current flow for each input/output. With this data, you can maintain precise control over your power usage, eliminating “power anxiety” by knowing exactly how much power you’re using and how much remains.

Furthermore, the BCDC Alpha R ensures total system connectivity with RedVision and TVMS (Total Vehicle Management System). When paired with TVMS, users can directly control systems like lights and appliances through the RedVision app or display. Lastly, the system automatically adjusts its charging mode in real time to match the battery’s needs, maximizing efficiency and enhancing battery lifespan for long-term reliability.
