RealTruck Doubles Funding For Rugged Ridge Trail Access Program

RealTruck, Inc., a major player in the automotive aftermarket and a popular online destination for truck, Jeep, Bronco, and off-road enthusiasts, has announced some major updates to its Rugged Ridge Trail Access Program for 2025.

The company just announced that it will double its grant funding to $20,000, demonstrating a strengthened commitment to preserving recreational trail access across the United States and Canada.

The Rugged Ridge Trail Access Program, initially launched at the 2013 SEMA Show, provides financial support to organizations dedicated to the conservation of public and private lands and the maintenance of recreational trails.

The program emphasizes inclusivity, welcoming applications from groups representing all types of trail users, including hikers, bicyclists, trail runners, and motorized vehicle enthusiasts. RealTruck’s stated mission for the program is to “create, protect, and maintain” access to these shared outdoor spaces.

In 2025, RealTruck will award four $5,000 grants, one each quarter, to selected organizations. These grants can be used for a variety of purposes, including educational initiatives, on-the-ground stewardship projects, legal fees associated with trail access advocacy, and any other activity that promotes responsible land use and trail preservation.

Since its inception, the Rugged Ridge Trail Access Program has awarded over $185,000 in grants to a diverse range of organizations.

Past recipients include nationally recognized groups like Tread Lightly and the BlueRibbon Coalition, as well as regional and local organizations such as the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO), Friends of Uwharrie, and the New Mexico Off-Highway Vehicle Alliance.

The program has also supported educational initiatives like Del Albright’s Volunteer Leader & Land Stewardship (VLLS) Course. Other recipients include RestoreTrails, the Colorado Association of 4WD Clubs, the Off-Road Business Association, and Stay the Trail.

RealTruck encourages any organization involved in trail advocacy and land conservation, whether focused on motorized or non-motorized recreation, to apply for the program’s funding. The grant application and further details about the program, including examples of previously funded projects, are available on the RealTruck website.

The increased funding for 2025 clearly shows RealTruck’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds can continue to enjoy access to trails and public lands.
