People all over the world build vehicles to suit their needs regardless of their geographic location. We stumbled across what could be the most off-road worth camper in the entire world and it comes to us all the way from Elazığ, Turkey.
A lot of work went into creating the vehicle, here is just some of the interior dash work.
The vehicle is based off a Land Rover Defender 110 and was built by Mehmet Yıldız. The camper has 3.2-liter TDCi Puma engine with 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Most of the parts are custom or from higher model Defender parts.
The Defender 110 transformed into the ultimate off-road camper.
“The idea behind this project is the spirit of the Defender and its adaptable versions for alternative needs,” Yıldız explained. “Of course the favorite feature is that it is a Defender.”
Overlanding is taking over the off-road world by storm not just in America, but all over the world. We are seeing more people get out and enjoy the great outdoors off-road. Having a capable vehicle is just the first step in having a great time.
The spunky five-cylinder diesel gets this massive camper all over the place.
“This camper is used to go for fishing, hunting, camping, boat towing, and similar outdoor events,” Yıldız said. In Anatolia, Turkey there is a rough land. This camper combines the capability of a Defender and features of a caravan.”
The vehicle may be completed, but they are looking to possibly build a 6×6 Defender next. Do you have something exciting and different? Post your ride in the comments below and you could have a chance at being featured!
