Jeep’s latest vehicle, the Wrangler Gladiator, is doing battle in the pickup market and proving to be a strong contender. Putting a pickup bed on a Jeep Wrangler is an awesome combination, and what better way to add to that combo than with with some high-horsepower upgrades?
Enter ProCharger and its P-1SC-1 supercharger, now available for 2020 Jeep Gladiators. The complete kit comes with everything required, and provides a reliable 40-45-percent gain in horsepower, all with just seven pounds of boost pressure. As seen in the dyno graphs below, the performance went from 215 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque to 315 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque – a gain of 100 horsepower and 89 lb-ft of torque! You can also see that at 5,000 RPM, the stock Jeep was just starting to make 180 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque, while the supercharged Jeep at that same RPM was making about 250 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.
Installing the kit is non-invasive – customers don’t need to make cuts, bends, or drills to their rig. Everything goes bolt-on to the vehicle. A relocation kit moves the alternator out of the way so it can still do its job while the supercharger does its job as well. Oiling on the supercharger is all self-contained, so running external oil lines is a thing of the past.
On top of all this, the kit can be ordered to a customer’s preferences. It can be ordered as a complete kit with injectors and tuning, or as a tuner kit with just the intercooler, supercharger, tubing, and hardware. Optional finishes on the supercharger and tuner kit bracket include polished or black, with a satin finish as the standard for both. Additionally, if a customer wants the added power but not the noise, he can order the kit with a helical gearset.
