The Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo, sponsored by General Tire, looks to be yet another stunning event as the days draw near the October 5-6, 2013 show weekend. Among the many activities and events crammed in, one of the more intriguing aspects looks to be the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame silent auction taking place on Saturday.
Starting at 2:oo p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m, folks will be able to bid on some fantastic items. Some are useful, some are leisurely, some are historical, but all of them are really cool.
Just to name a few, there’s a set of four General tires; a Mastercraft Safety helmet; 2014 King of the Hammers entry; 2014 Best in the Desert Vegas-to-Reno entry; and even a “Day in the Desert” romp, where some lucky winner will get to meet and hang out with Hall of Fame inductees as they kick up sand. Last year’s winner got to hang out with none other than Rod Hall!
Memorabilia will include collector’s magazines, rare t-shirts, and autographed mementos. Those who can’t make it in person are encouraged to check out the big-ticket listings on 32auctions.com, which will soon host a private auction for those who have been invited.

If you’re an early bird or simply want to peruse the merchandise, you can check out the Chardonnay Banquet Room at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel on Friday, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Also, if you’re keen to donate something to the auction, contact Shelby Hall at shall@ormhof.org.
The auction will not only please off-roaders of all stripes for its scope, but also for its cause: All funds raised will go toward the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame, a non-profit organization devoted to honoring those same people who cherish the freedom and adventure of off-roading.
Off Road Xtreme can’t wait for the Expo, October 5-6, 2013. Be sure to check out our reports on all the action at this year’s Lucas Oil Off Road Expo right here at offroadxtreme.com.
