As seen in this video, the tire was developed with the help of five-time Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) champion and 16-time X Games medalist Brian Deegan.
From what the folks at Mickey Thompson tell us, the Deegan 38 off-road tire may just be the ultimate mud-terrain tire — delivering everything all in one tire, aggressive performance, respectable street manners and impressive style.
Its tread is made up of Mickey Thompson’s time-tested compound, and unique design elements such as the beveled tread edge that enhances self cleaning and sturdy lugs. Special wide lateral and offset grooves channel water out and bite deep into mud as well as grip rocky terrain.
The large center tread elements are sticky, yet wear even and offer a quiet ride. And specially designed stone-ejector ribs resist the build up of dirt, rocks and mud between the tread blocks.
