The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) has long been known as some of the most exciting off-road racing action going on in the country and the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park racetrack in Lake Elsinore, California is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the most exhilarating venues. The April 25-26, 2014 (Round 3 and 4) Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series events proved that more than ever with a roller coaster-like track that sent race trucks and cars flying a hundred feet or more through the air, fender-to-fender finishes, and tumbles and crashes that had race fans on their feet the entire time.

The event was tough on all the competitors, but Team Mickey Thompson (M/T) competitors were able to come through it all with six podium finishes, celebrating another winning weekend of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series racing. In Pro 2, Brian Deegan earned a first place finish in round three and a second place finish in round four on Mickey Thompson Baja Pro tires.

Pro Buggy competitor Chad George earned a first place podium finish in both round three and round four, and Dave Mason Jr. earned a second place Pro Buggy finish in round four on Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T tires. In Pro Lite, Brian Deegan earned a first place podium finish in round four on Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 tires. Both Deegan and George now lead in points standings in Pro 2 and Pro Buggy respectively.

“We love it when this series comes to our home track in Lake Elsinore,” stated Ken Warner, VP of Marketing for Mickey Thompson. “The Team M/T racers did a great job, especially following rainy conditions and round three competition that involved some terrible crashes including our own Team M/T member and Pro 4 racer, Eric Barron, and thankfully he’s okay.”
