With the utterly bonkers final round of the 2019 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series still fresh in our minds, we begin to wonder what the 2020 season may offer. Well, you can forego all of the guesswork, because we went straight to the source, and got the full rundown on the 2020 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Championship Schedule.
As of now, it appears that the world’s premier short-course off-road championship will feature 11 rounds of high-flying thrills come next year, as five different tracks in five different states see a slice of the action. Next year’s insanity will primarily mirror this year’s schedule, with the opener taking place on March 14th and 15th at Glen Helen Raceway in Southern California, and the last event of the year is on October 24th at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Arizona.
In between these two events, race fans will see the series return to the Utah Motorsports Campus on June 27th and 28th, as well as to Wheatland, in Missouri’s Lucas Oil Speedway. The latter of the two will take place on August 22nd through 23rd, at a venue that underwent all sorts of surgery after Mother Nature decided to throw a tantrum this past summer.
Bill Smith, Series Director for Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series had this to say about the upcoming year of LOORRS action, “We enjoyed a memorable, highly competitive season across all nine classes of competition in 2019, and we’re excited about what lies ahead in 2020.”
