The 2015 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) is finishing where it started, bringing all the action back to the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Southern California. Thus far, four rounds have been hosted at the Elsinore track, and on October 24th and 25th LOORRS will be there once again to wrap it all up.
It’s been a thrilling and action-packed season, between Kyle LeDuc’s record-setting 10 straight wins in the Pro 4 class, the first ever LOORRS event in Baja, Mexico, and neck-and-neck point standings between drivers in both Pro 2 and Pro 4 all season long.
Along with the usual edge-of-your-seat excitement, the Round 10 cancellation was a curveball that’s only added to the frenzy. Since there will be no opportunity to make up those lost points, racers have been forced into even more of a mad scramble.
The racers have been fighting hard all year, and things have been building up to this final race. The tension has been growing thick since the last events, as most race standings are separated by only a small number of points.
Currently, the top three in the hunt in Pro Buggy are within just over 30 points of each other, the top two in Pro 4 have only a 58 point gap, and the top two in Pro 2 are separated by only 23 points. Most of the other series’ follow this pattern of close competition, and as has been the case throughout the entire series, there’s no telling who’s going to go hime with that number one spot.
It doesn’t take much to see that the final races taking place out in Lake Elsinore will be an epic photo-finish, so come join us at the track to see how it all plays out. We will be there at Sunday’s Challenge Cup race as Pro 2 takes on Pro 4 in an all out battle. Be sure to get your tickets and further details at the LOORRS website.
