Hey, Lego geeks, have we got a website for you! To most Americans, a set of the German building blocks were damn near issued to you when you were kid. They were not only good for building a car or a rocket but they made great projectiles too, enabling a full scale Lego war in the basement with your brothers and sisters when mom was taking a nap. Okay, let’s stay on track here folks…
The good news is Lego has a website where you can submit an idea for a kit. If the idea generates 10,000 “likes” within a set amount of time, the company will investigate producing it.
With that in mind someone submitted an idea of a Ford Bronco that looks very intricate and spot on. Not just a run of the mill Bronco mind you but a high end ICON version that we’ve all lusted over.
The scale is good with an amazing amount of specialized parts including visible suspension, a removable top, and a winch hidden in the bumper. Underneath the body, this model even does a pretty good job of replicating the powertrain. Additionally, the hood, doors, and hatch all open and the spare tire carrier even moves out of the way.
So far the ICON Bronco has yet to meet the required amount of support. So if this turns you on, go to the website and vote away!
Evidently there was a dustup regarding who originally authored this idea but it looks like the Lego folks have the dispute under control. Whew.
