Kyle LeDuc, champion of Pro 4 Unlimited keeps his throne in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. This past weekend he captured his fourth successive sweep. His #99 Ford F-150, sponsored by Monster Energy and Toyo Tires, won Rounds 9 and 10 on the Glen Helen Raceway dirt track near San Bernardino, California.
At Glen Helen, a $2,500 per race bounty was offered to any competitor that could beat the all-dominant LeDuc. The result … LeDuc left the venue with $5,000 extra in cash lining his pockets.
“Kyle LeDuc is simply unstoppable on his march to the 2014 championship,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “We are proud to have our Open Country M/T-R tires a part of his winning combination and are very excited with only three race weekends remaining in the 2014 season.”
“This weekend went very well,” said LeDuc of his sweep at Glen Helen. “Toyo gave me an edge in cornering and traction that can’t be matched by any others.” LeDuc and his Toyo Open Country M/T-R equipped truck have now won a total of nine out of 10 races this season. It all started at the season-opener in Chandler, Arizona, and has continued at tracks across California, Nevada, and Utah.
Toyo Tires was also atop the podium Saturday night when 18-year-old Brandon Arthur won his first career Pro Lite race on a set of Open Country A/T II tires.
“Our off-the-shelf, DOT-approved Toyo Open Country A/T IIs hooked up this weekend on a track that was littered with ruts and got pounded by rain Saturday night,” said Arthur. “Toyo Tires gave a huge advantage in the rainy conditions as they pushed through the muddy track with ease to get us a win! We can’t thank Toyo enough for their support.”
The off-road excitement continues August 22 and 23, at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada. LeDuc’s last appearance at that track resulted in an overall lap record and sweep.
