Gone Painting: Off-Road And Art Go Together In Great Britain

Do you have a more artistic side? Art Draw Paint out of Hampshire, England is offering summer off-road art classes. These classes are held, as you probably already guessed it, rain or shine and the location is any place a 4×4 can go. Art Draw Paint has classes for beginners to more experienced artists. They touch on many different types of art including oils, acrylics, water coloring, drawing, life drawing and mixed media.

Off-road and art is usually not something that is mentioned together in the same sentence unless talking about someone’s driving style and even then, it is very uncommon to hear these words together. This art class looks like it may have something going for it.

The class will take you through valleys, hills, ancient woodlands, and even medieval cities. The benefit that England has over us is they do have quite a bit more dated locations to go to. Let’s be real, how many places in the United States can you be on the trail and come across a medieval castle?

The classes are going to be from August 10th to the 14th so if you are taking a summer getaway to England you can add this to your itinerary. Each day the class will discuss the goals for the day and what type of media they are using.

Everyone in the class will be able to explore the location of the day and be able to find something unique to paint or draw for the day. It gets people outside and into the environment to really get them a feel for what they are painting. They will also finish every day with a discussion on the type of art they were able to accomplish during the day and any issues they had with the environment.

We don’t see this being a class for us, as the only art and off-road we do is “freestyle” mud on the sides of our rigs. This class is definitely something unique and interesting, and if you have an artistic side, this is for you.
