Back in November, we had the chance to get the skinny on this awesome F-150 presented by WD-40. We were told that the truck would very soon be going up for a raffle, and that time has now come.
From now until April 30, 2014, you can purchase raffle tickets either singularly, or in packs of three or five. At a minimum, you’ll pay $50 to purchase a single ticket, with discounts applied to those who purchase the three-pack ($125, saving $25) or five-pack ($200, saving $50). And for a chance at winning an incredible pickup, we would say that’s a very small price to pay, no matter which option you pick.
WD-40 really went all-out with this truck, not only getting the likes of Chip Foose to draft its design, but also getting future gearheads — students from the Alex Xydias Center for Automotive Arts, or AXC — involved in the building process. They had loads of cool parts to work with too, such as a Whipple supercharger, Boatec fiberglass hood/fenders/bedsides, Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, and AMP Research power running boards/bedsteps/tailgate extender.
WD-40’s own products were used as well, and to a fine degree. Water-Resistant Silicone Lubricant, Corrosion Inhibitor, and more found their way into the makeup of this successful build, and will keep it rolling on all fours, regardless of what lies ahead.
Finally, topping off the efforts of everyone involved was LGE*CTS Motorsports, responsible for the fantastic paint job that looks every bit as awesome in pictures as it does in person — trust us, we got to see it at SEMA, and it’s amazing. In all, the truck is valued at a whopping $80,000!
At the end of the day, though, anyone and everyone who buys these raffle tickets is doing a great service for SEMA Cares, which operates the Victory Junction, Childhelp, and the SEMA Memorial Scholarship. We encourage you to check out more about this truck on WD-40′s website and Facebook page, as well as the Flickr gallery showing studio and in-progress snapshots.
