The Off-Road Championship (TORC) is returning to Sturgis, South Dakota, for the second straight year, for the Battle at the Chip. The event will take place August 4th to the 5th at the legendary Buffalo Chip Powersports Complex.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is celebrating its 75th year, but while the bikes are cruising there will be a different type of roar rumbling through town. The 900-horsepower Pro 2WD and Pro 4WD will be tearing up the dirt as the drives looking to continue to grab any championship points they can.
Last years events where full of actions with a repeat expected, as the Greaves’ family looks to continue their dominance on the track. Last year rookie Keegan Kincaid made his class points debut in the Pro 2WD class.
Keegan took the driver seat from his dad, Jeff, after he suffered a horrible crash. He was beat out his first day on the track, but took the podium the next day to get his first win. Looking to repeat at the track that gave him his chance, many drivers like CJ Greaves, will be looking to knock him off.
One unique viewing section of the track, which debuted last year, will be back again this year. Since the race is taking place during bike week it is only fitting that there will be a bikes-only section. Fans and bikers alike will be able to come out and enjoy all the action and appreciate a different type of machine.
