We all know that we don’t need any more incentive to donate to cancer. The reach of cancer has extended to millions of families across the globe. But, the Driven to Fight Cancer Trophy Truck team has found a great way to get people excited about donating to cancer research.
During the 2014 BAJA 1000 you can now sponsor a mile or even more on the Driven to Fight Cancer Trophy Truck. The team has partnered with the American Cancer Society and its October Cattle Baron’s Ball event to help raise funds during the annual 1,000-mile event. But they’ve done more than just that, they have added some serious incentives to get people to commit to the mileage donations.
“We added some additional incentives to help boost our commitment to this program. In every race there is a podium of three winners where luck played a solid role in getting them there. So we gathered three awesome prizes to give away in a random email drawing after the race when the official Baja 1000 winners are announced,” explained Chuck Dempsey, Driven Experiences Race Director. “Anyone who donates via the Driven to Fight Cancer program with an email address will be entered to win one of three prizes.”
He isn’t kidding either, listen to these prizes:
- Grand Prize: a two-day stay at Gateway Canyons Resort spending one day at the Driven Experiences school, and a second day enjoying the beautiful Colorado scenery after choosing between one of the fast and classy cars in the Driven Rentals program.
- 2nd prize: The second email randomly picked will win a one-day Driven Experiences school opportunity.
- 3rd prize: a Go-Pro Hero4 camera.
The 2014 Baja 1000 will take place the week of November 12th while commitments can be made through November 14th. Opportunities to pledge mileage donations can be placed at www.cattlebaronsball.com/DTFC.
