Every year it’s the same old battle between auto manufacturers. A constant battle is raging through the year between OEM and the other saying they are the best at this and another saying they are the best at that. Often times it gets so convoluted that no one knows who has bested the others in any category anymore.
Ram Trucks apparently saw this flaw and decided to use it to its advantage. Recently, it went live with a new web site specifically designed to solve the communications errors. The web site is known as “Just The Facts” and is an offshoot of its main web site, www.ramtrucks.com.
Just The Facts is “another great tool in the toolbox to help you cut through the clutter and get to the real ‘meat’ when shopping for a truck with just the facts on best-in-class payload, towing and fuel economy.” Says Better Newman, writer for a Chrysler blog known as Objects In The Mirror.
The new addition claims the Ram 1500 is receiving the best in class fuel economy at 28 miles per gallon with the new 3.0L Ecodiesel V6 power plant as well as putting the Ram 3500 up on top with both best in class towing and best in class payload.
Optioned out right, the Ram 3500 puts a staggering 865 pound feet of torque, shredding the competitions dreams of even getting close. In that form, the truck has a payload of 7,390 pounds and a tow capacity of 30,000 unbelievable pounds, it’s guaranteed that the torque will be unbelievable.
Ram certainly isn’t being shy about its claims. Go check it out for yourself at www.ramtrucks.com/justthefacts.
